What is a Horsepower?
1 horsepower = 1 foot pound of torque @ 5252 rpm
For every 100 hp on a turbo engine you need 820cc/min of
gasoline assuming a B.S.F.C. of .625 a fuel pressure 43.5 PSI greater
than manifold pressure and a 80% duty cycle. Therefore a 400 HP 4cyl
turbo engine requires one 3280cc/min or four 820cc/min injectors.

vehicle that it will be installed in, allowing us to properly test and
tune each engine in its full range of RPM and throttle position.
Metric Motors has engines available that will meet
California OHV emission requirements and is working with the state of
California to get all of our engines California certified.
TURN KEY ENGINES
All Turn Key engines go through Metric Motors break-in and
test procedures on our dyno. This allows us to test the package as a
whole, i.e., fuel pump, injectors, turbo, all gaskets and seals, tuning,
ignition system, emissions, sensors, charging system, etc.
